2015 Volkswagen Passat - official trailer

Description:

Volkswagen has fully revealed the all-new Euro-spec Passat B8 described as being “the most successful European business car.” Sporting an evolutionary design, the overhauled Passat is 4767mm long, 1832mm wide and 1456mm tall which means it is 2mm shorter, 12mm wider and 6mm lower than the old one. Using a combination of high-strength steel, hot-formed steel and aluminum, Volkswagen’s engineers were able to shave off up to 85 kg (188 lbs), with the lightest model tipping the scales at just 1,312 kg (2,892 lbs). The wheelbase has been stretched by 79mm to 2791mm, along with 31mm wider front tracks (at 1584mm) and 14mm wider rear tracks (at 1568mm). It features a 9kg lighter suspension encompassing front MacPherson struts and a multi-link setup for the rear. All models get LED taillights while the headlights can also be optionally configured with LEDs featuring Dynamic Light Assist that can automatically adjust the high beam without disturbing incoming traffic.
